Resilience Coaching

Resilience is a competency which is increasingly requested as part of our Executive Coaching, Career and Transition Coaching and Leadership or Management Development Programs.

Resilience is a complex set of skills and behaviors, which are affected by beliefs and personality styles and which differ greatly from one person to another.  It is often referred to as the ability to bounce back from adversity.

In the increasingly complex and busy work and home environment, developing Resilience is a key skill, which can combat stress and anxiety, assist in silencing the inner critic, and help you cope better with change, uncertainty and pressure. Resilience Coaching and Training can decrease sickness absence levels from between 33% - 60%.

During our Resilience Coaching sessions, you can discuss key issues in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space with Natural Talents qualified Coaches, who will help you to develop your resilience by honing a variety of skills, such as:

Some people are naturally more resilient than others and appear to have the mental toughness to cope with pressure, adversity and major setbacks and to recover more quickly. The stages we tend to experience after a major set-back are denial, anger, disorientation, acceptance and renewal.  In order to recover from these stages more quickly and cope better with key life events and change, it is important to acknowledge the reality of what’s happening, to identify and challenge the negative thoughts, channel the anger, create and implement a personal vision with goals, and seek out your support network.

According to the latest statistics from the HSE, in 2017/18, work-related stress accounted for 44% of work-related ill health, up from 35% just three years earlier, and 57% of all working days lost to sickness, up from 43% three years earlier; 15.4 million days were lost to depression, anxiety and musculoskeletal disorders, costing the economy £15 billion. Absence due to stress is now the second most cited cause, even though many employees still won’t admit that they are suffering from stress.  Resilience Coaching and Training can assist greatly in managing stress, anxiety, pressure, change and uncertainty.
