Team Facilitation, Away Days, and Strategic Offsites

At Natural Talent Bristol and Wales, we are highly experienced in facilitating successful, engaging, and productive team aways days, strategic offsites, and leadership team days across most industries and for the public sector.  We can hold these for you either in person, remotely, or in a hybrid way for small teams from four members right up to very large groups, and any size in-between!

With over 3 years of teams mostly working from home, remotely, or in a hybrid model, many are keen to meet in person, to reconnect with their colleagues, and get to know new team members, who may have been onboarded remotely.  Your organization may be introducing a revised vision and strategy, ongoing change, such as a merger and acquisition, a restructure, and redundancies.  Or you just may be looking to reward staff, build a more effective team, and celebrate success.

Our dynamic professional facilitators will ensure that your team away days run to time, are energized, and deliver measurable outcomes.  We work in partnership with you to ensure that your team offsites take place in a highly participative environment with respectful challenge according to best practice guidelines, including the following:

  • The agenda allows enough time for lots of interaction and Q and As, and has been pre-circulated
  • Any preparation has been completed, such as short personality questionnaires, results have been collated, and any feedback on the team dynamics is ready to be presented and discussed in a safe, confidential environment
  • There is a pre-defined objective to agree what needs to be achieved and how success will be measured, for example, solving a particular problem, improving a process, developing an ongoing plan, agreeing a key decision, generating ideas, developing a strategy, discussing resources, achieving sign-off of proposals and projects, improving team performance – or simply teambuilding and bonding!
  • Every member contributes, healthy discussion is encouraged, and any unproductive debate is closed down with some issues taken offline
  • Challenging comments and situations are dealt with professionally
  • Input is strategic, not operational
  • The right open questions are asked at the right time for clarification
  • Interruptions are kept to a minimum
  • Consensus is achieved and the team is aligned behind the vision and strategy
  • Important discussions are not left to the end of the day
  • All key points are summarized and actions agreed, with all team members clear on the outcomes
  • Feedback is gained on what worked well and what could be improved
  • Any actions and key learning points are circulated within 24 hours
